Minnesota circus

Keeping up with the senatorial doings in Minnesota? Franken leads by a hair. Coleman is acting desperate because all the metrics favor Franken and the Minnesota system for handling recounts is scrupulously even-handed. No Katherine Harrises lurking in the Minnesota woodpile.

I'm rooting and rooting for Al Franken! He's gonna win! Notice how all of Coleman's strategies hinge on not counting votes and Al's have centered on counting every ballot. Al Franken will be an exemplary senator. I will cheer when he is seated.

Here's the FIXED News version of Katherine Harris attempting to smooth over and explain away
the Florida recount.

blue.

I love Al Franken and know he'll be great in the Senate. But I want the man with the most votes to win. We've got to get back to honest elections or our geese are cooked. Go Al!

The Upper Midwest is rapidly becoming a punch line when it comes to elections. It started in Iowa with Fred Grandy's (Gopher from The Love Boat) election to the U.S. HOR. Then Minnesotans endured the great Jesse Ventura as governor experiement and now it looks like a former Saturday Night Live cast member is going to be among our 100 U.S. senators. As Charlie Brown would say, "Good Grief." They are at risk of making the backwards-thinking south seem sane.

Too bad Max is out of town... news came out about an hour ago that the ACLU has filed the lawsuit against Act 1 prior to it taking effect Thursday. Word is kids won't be removed from foster homes at this time.

"Department of Human Services officials have said they do not expect to have to remove any foster children from their homes when the new law takes effect." -- Associated Press

If the recount were honest and fair, I would be all for it. When Democrats run the recounts and find mysterious new uncounted and unsecured votes, I have a problem with it.
