Huckabee (preacher, ret.)

The Arkansas Leader does a sober evisceration of Mike Huckabee's complaint that he was constantly described as a Baptist preacher during his presidential campaign. The fact of his prior vocation defined his campaign just as much as John McCain's military record helped define his. It wasn't mentioned that often anyway. But Huckabee apparently understands now that he self-pigeonholed himself as the religious candidate.

For a more hoot-filled take on Huckabee's complaint, see Bob Caudle in the Morning News on "Brother Huck's Traveling Salvation Show."

Huck is SO toasted, as I predicted a week ago at clicky.

Meanwhile, my biological clock is serotonin-challenged from my New Year's weekend in Vegas. It's supposed to be 1 a.m. but it's 3 a.m. and the only celebrity I met in the VIP section at Privé was Denise Richards and do YOU know who she is because I don't and she didn't know who I was either so we didn't really bond until this Italian flight-school owner in gold neck-chains from Rome named Bruno asked me to dance and then we REALLLY didn't bond and Denise Whoever got all huffy and stomped out and we all got talking about who she was except nobody knew including Bruno who was suddenly served a subpoena by the maitre d' and escorted from the premises for some offense we never found out what it was but you could tell it was serious so we all finally went back to the Wynn and put on nightgowns and fired up a blunt and popped open a magnum to toast in the new year and swear we weren't doing THIS again next year.

It's good to be home.

Damn Norma, where's the love? you should take a friend along (me.. hint.. hint:) on your incredible adventures.

"....evisceration ..."

Dang, Max! Quit using words I have to look up for the meaning.

Cato,
Evisceration is problem for you?

Go to your nearby poultry plant, likely a Tyson's in Mena, and read the signs.

Betcha there is a "Evisceration" line there, complete with line managers.

.

LOL...guess I've gotta expand my columnist horizons 'cause I haven't laughed that hard in awhile. And I'd forgotten about Huck calling NW Arkansas politicians a bunch of Republicans Shiites...a simply delicious way to start the day. I'm adding Caudle to my Saturday mornings.

Is there anything under the sun that Huck won't whine about...nope. But I'm thrilled every time he opens up his perpetually petulant piehole and shows the world his true colors. He is and will always be a Baptist preacher...and what an ingrate to now deny the 'calling' that enabled his political career (well, along with having Tucker taken down as a side to the Clinton witch hunt). Oh that's right...his 'callings' fluctuate according to whatever suits his current desire for fame/funds.
