you pretty much started this, you must feel important, you should finish it up.
" The grownups in the Senate
This is too rich. Lost in all the hubbub about the Obama congratulatory resolution's derailment by petty Republicans in the House was the news that a virtually identical resolution, sponsored by Sen. Tracy Steele, was passed without a problem in the Senate Jan. 15, in time to be delivered to the new president's inaugural.
They don't call it the upper chamber for nothing. Yes, it contains these words:
WHEREAS, a nation founded by slave owners and seared by civil war and generations of racial strife made a leap in the march toward equality and delivered a smashing electoral college victory to the forty-seven year-old first-term senator from Illinois, who forged a broad, multi-racial and multiethnic coalition; and
It was signed by most senators, perhaps all. I'm checking. Sen. Steele said he was "proud" of his colleagues.
NOTED BY ARKANSAS PROJECT: Language in the resolution was copied from news articles and other sources. Not unlike lots of dittohead legislation at the General Assembly. John Williams comments.

If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
