Tyson fined $500,000
Tyson Foods pled guilty in court today and was ordered to pay the maximum fine for violating worker safety regulations. In addition to the fine, the company will be placed on probation for one year. The Justice Department said the company did not take sufficient steps to protect employees from harmful gasses and one employee died as a result. Arkansas Business has more.
