I'm going to make a bold prediction that those who fall into the "Obama is my Savior, Brummett/Brantley Dittoheads" category will far outnumber any Rush dittoheads as far as readers of your blog go.

As for me, I'm much more of a Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck fan, but you can definitely count me as being on Rush's side.

Oh, and if you don't mind go ahead and count my good houndog, Ladybird, as being on Rush's side too.

Can't wait to see the final tally!!!

Objective reasoning just isn't well accepted in this camp - rather let's just blame anything less than positive on Bush, Cheney, Palin, Huckabee, and the powers that be at the University of Arkansas and never consider the possiblity that reality has ever diverged from that path.

I'd be real surprised if anybody on this board can make an intelligent argument as to why Bush gets no credit for the Dow Jones Industrial Avg reaching a record high of over 14,000 in Oct of 2007, yet gets the full blame for the current state of the global economy.

Or what about the argument that Bush invaded Iraq for its oil... how has any of that oil under Iraqi soil benefitted Bush in any way??

Or what should Bush have done when Saddam refused to comply with UN demands to cooperate with inspectors?? Just sit back and let him continue to snub his nose at UN demands such a short time after America was given a black eye by Muslim extremists?? At the time, America was overwhelmingly in support of removing the rogue leader from power; now 6 years later, the majority of Americans protest that it was the wrong thing to do. If the polls are correct, then obviously a large percentage of Americans changed their mind when it was no longer convenient to support the War on Terrorism. Its easy to be right when you are typing your opinions on your keyboard and you can change them on a whim, isn't it?? What should Bush have done, seriously?? Can anyone say, with conviction, that attempting negotiations (Like Obama wants to do with Iran!!!) or continuing to allow Saddam to disobey UN demands would have been the right thing to do. The same "Iraq war was a mistake" know-it-allers also never like to mention the fact that Bush gave Saddam several opportunities to avoid war, including one final 48 hour opportunity to vacate his dictatorship.

Can any of you Brummett/Brantley sheep give a reasonable argument on any of these topics that Bush is routinely bashed for on this blog??

Wishing the government to fail is a form of treason, if you ask me. You know, like when people criticize the government and the conservatives say, "well, if you don't like America, just go live somewhere else." I'd like to say to Rush, "If you don't like the way American has changed, then go rant in some other country." Of course, since I really DO believe in free speech, I have to support his right to uncontrollably spew whatever stupid, unreasonable, venomous criticism he wishes. I don't have to listen, though. And I also have the right to regret the demise of the fairness doctrine. We've replaced the fairness doctrine with the doctrine of commerce. We've taken speech and turned into the handmaiden of commerce. Speech is no longer for the purpose of edifying reasonable political discourse, it's just another way to make money.

I probably shouldn't be this entertained by the Blagowhatever stuff...but god bless Illinois. Their governor went on a anybody-who'll-have-me media tour and Republicans/Democrats packed his bags and installed another. Now that's how politics outta be done...quick, concise and on TV.

Hell...'not working' is light years ahead of what you people have given us.

redneck, you make the argument that Iraq was not complying with UN demands to let inspectors in to search for WMD's. How do you explain, then, that Bush ordered U.N. inspectors to leave Iraq just days before the USA invaded Iraq? Your boy Bush finally admitted that there were no weapons of mass destruction. The UN inspectors were in Iraq for months looking for non-existant weapons of mass destruction, which did not exist.
Why do you continue to support Bush, who invaded an innocent country for no reason?

Maybe you are a hopeless cause, but I am really concerned about you. Obviously you have the internet and can read. If you are still convinced that invading Iraq was the right thing to do, bless you, but you are so wrong.

I hope Obama and the Obama administration will ignore both Ruth and the other CCRRR pundits and just continue to state their principles and try to do their job. I hope Rush continues to be the public face of the GOP and continues to try to tie concrete overshoes on every Obama and Democratic Party initiative and legislature to show the U.S. public exactly the aims of the CCRRR.

Please Rush, Ann, Hannity, Scarborough, Malkin, Beck, Kristol, Morris and all the other Repugnican pundits keep up the good work; stick to your guns; continue to show the U.S. public that the CCRRR's stand for party political advantage and satisfying the failed ideology that for the last eight years lead us to this financial disaster regardless of the situation of the country and whether the people you represent need help.

I'm gonna choose to think you're pulling our collective liberal legs, dannyc...so I can laugh easier this morning. Rush is an unapologetic dope head who routinely used his Big Fat Mike to advocate for the 'lynching' of all 'dopeheads/drug-addicts.' But this particularly glaring hypocrisy is but ONE OF A ZILLION examples of how he's preached one thing while living another.

ANYONE, Republican or Democrat, who makes their living by lecturing the rest of us about the moral superiority of their opinions regarding family values and morality should at least have one or two demonstrable 'family values.' Both Rush/Ann love to scream at liberals about the very things they say they are decrying....they are intellectually dishonest, blatantly hypocritical and caricatures who are LOL funny. I'm sure there are many average Republicans who, like the rest of us, try to live by the words they value. But defending Rush's screaming hypocrisy and obvious lack of 'family values' undercuts your words, too.

And, no First Amendment loving liberal wants to use government to forcibly (or in ANY OTHER WAY) shut one group's voices. Good grief...if YOU care about the First Amendment do your homework and research ALL the laws/regulations that have been used to stifle our voices. From Sunshine Laws to FOIA laws and regulation of airways, it ain't Republican politicians who've championed those causes and/or tried to squash them by 'starving the beast.' But one example: As President Bill Clinton opened government, FOIA-wise, (said that 'if it can be opened...do it') while Monkeyboy re-classified stuff that had been open to public scrutiny for decades and ultimately stopped openness by trying to remove all personnel funding from the people who were charged with responding to FOIA requests.

Liberalism is proof that the human gene pool is mutating and growing more shallow everyday, praying for an asteroid to come along and wipe out most of humankind so we can start over. Oops so much for global warming.....

1. That picture of Rush is from when he had his TV show in the early 90s and was MUCH heavier than he is now. Do you want others posting only pictures of you at your top weight? This was just another ad hominem attack--there are loads of recent pictures of the svelte Rush. Coming from someone who has also fought the battle of the bulge, I wouldn't expect you to stoop to that.

2. Since Pres. Obama in his autobiography admitted to using cocaine, shouldn't you caption him as the "The Cokehead" if you're going to (again) engage in ad hominem by calling Rush a "dope head?"

3. Rush made clear that he wants Obama's socialist policies to fail. I do as well...and they will.

I've been listening to Rush for something like 15 years. I mean, you know, when I'm in the car while he's on. I think the guy is a genius for making a fortune off bullshit and gullible people, and I really wish I was smart enough, or scrupleless enough, to do that myself. Obama admitted and openly talked about the drug use of his youth...Rush got caught and has been dodging a truthful accounting ever since. 2. Obama wasn't preaching to the country about evil dope-heads who should be locked up for life and/or killed while he was a dope-head...Rush was getting paid to preach to millions of his followers about the plague of evil dope-heads while he was high as any kite. 3. Obama was a young man...Rush a full-grown privileged white man. 4. Being a veteran, I am offended by your comment. I very much support our troops! I thought going into Iraq was a mistake when I was in the service, and I think it was a mistake now. Several of my friends in the Navy and the Marine Corps agree. Afghanistan is now nearly unsalvagable because of it, and...correct me if I'm wrong...we still don't have Osama in custody, right? And to redneckrepublicanhogfan... why were we even pressuring Sadam at that point? We should have been focused on Afghanistan, ending the Taliban and capturing Osama BeenHiding. Instead we let George and Dick distract us from the goal to further their own interests. American and Coalition soldiers have paid the price. That really twists my skivvies in a bunch! I have not changed my mind that going into Afghanistan was the right thing to do, but we left the job half done, and trillions of dollars and countless gallons of Patriot blood later we're still on the wrong track.

Our economy is in the toilet, we have American Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen broken and dying in a country we have no business in, Bin Laddin is still free to inflict his mockery of Islam, our country is so divided along party lines I can't even talk to my family anymore without someone getting angry... So Obama's "confession" to using cocaine does NOT make him a "coke head"??? Still scratching my head over that one. That epithet should has been thrown here at Pres. Bush, and he was never proven to have even used the stuff. As for Rush being a "full-grown privileged white man," I thought we were in the post-race period. Obama does not get a pass for being 50% African. Why should he? He had a suburban childhood, as I did. Funny, I never did get around to snorting cocaine--or doing Oxycontin, for that matter.

One time use, admitting it and moving on does not make you a "coke-head"

Habitual use, attempting to hide the fact, getting caught, and only going to rehab to avoid jail time does make one a "dope-head".

The question on the table is, will you follow your own advice or continue to rant and be sore losers or are we all going to work together to fix what we collectively broke? I used to listen to Rush and O'Riley and the lot at the begining of Bush's term. It took a misguided attack on Iraq, seeing the response to Katrina first hand, and my 401K circling the drain, but I am now a card carrying liberal.

Oh quit pretending a black teenage Obama was on equal accountability turf with a multi-millionaire white guy with a big media mike.
