I'm pretty sure the fund raising for the 1 book library is going slow in order to see if Bush is going to prison or the firing squad. I think his withered old butt is far from out of the woods. Looks to me that the Obama bunch have their hands full with this bad Bush depression, but at the same time, Obama keeps saying, no one is above the law, no one is above the law, no one is above the law. I think that's his secret message to Bush-Cheney and all the guilty Bushies. If I was one of them...I'd be closing the deal on my new house in Dubai..far from the grabby hands of US justice.

I'd donate if SMU was asking for funds to build the Cheney-Bush Presidential Prison. Yes sir...I'd pony up real fast for that. I think a lot more people would line up to pay tickets to see Cheney & Bush behind bars than they would go see a Presidential Library honoring our very very very worst criminal President. We can already sit home and watch lies on Fox News for free.

I think the last thing Bush should be worrying about is his Liberry.....he better be Googling how to keep your withered old butt protected in a prison environment. He's FK'ed so many people he won't get a night's sleep when he goes to jail. Good!

Its always nice to have a scapegoat, but seriously, do you really think in 8 yrs one U.S. president can single handedly bring about a GLOBAL recession??? Under W's administration US debt went up 5 Trillion bucks. Tax cuts to billionaires and the trickle down should have kicked in a few years after enacted if they truely would cause economic expansion.

The only thing that surprised me about the Bush caused recession was that it took so long to occur. That appears to be the reason why it is so all encompassing.

And yes the US is the largest consumer in the world so a depression here most assuredly would cause the entire world economy to collapse.

Everyone selling to US consumers is in a dive also.

Notice toyota says that plummetting sales in the US caused their first annual loss in history. Other companies in other countries that are newer to the game have less ability to weather a downturn and thus companies are failing world wide because of the US downturn.

The European bank failures are, indeed, connected to the proliferation of unregulated debt derivatives based on the US housing industry. They were buying and selling worthless pieces of paper all over the globe. Whether you can place that blame solely at Bush's feet is another question. He certainly has his share of blame, if not a majority of it. That and his pal in crime, Phil Gramm.

Only on the grammatical part. Not the "when I'm in trouble or disgrace myself" part.

I have this, uh, friend in Chenal who has, uh, bent over backwards to achieve her current status by laying low since she turned, uh, 18. Which is when laying low is legal, I believe.

So I'm thinking laying low can be highly profitable in the right venues. As long as one lies low about it, except in Nevada where it's legal. Which is where this, uh, friend, spent her entrepreneurial years.

I'm also thinking if Bush's "aides" are illiterate enough not to know, or care about, the difference between "laying low" and "lying low," then his will be the only Presidential library whose Dewey Decimal System begins and ends with 0.001.

Let me say this about that, Jazzy.

I have found that those who mistakenly use "laying low" for "lying low" do so for Freudian reasons.

"Lying" sounds too close to the truth about them, so they veer off into "laying," which only reveals MORE sordid truths about their sexual proclivities and their lackadaisical educations and . . . well, Jazzy, these are the same people who, over the age of 12, still use "awesome" and make statements like, "He gave she and I the clap."

But much more important than that I want them punished so their kind will not come back to inflict misery on the children and grandchildren. Ford let Nixon off the hook which directly gave us Cheney-Bush. Count up the old Nixon men in GWB's administration....that should have been a clear tip off that trouble was coming.

I remember good Republicans. In fact I still have a box of Nixon Now bumper stickers in this house. Compared to George W. Bush, Nixon was Jesus H. Christ. But still....I don't want another of him and I sure don't want a super sized copy of the Masters of Disaster Cheney-Bush killing my kids after I'm gone.

It's fun to make jokes about Bush...they're so easy. But in all actuality, there is nothing funny about George W. Bush or Dick W. Cheney or their henchmen whose evil may yet do us in. I think Obama is a gift, but there is no sign he's pulled us out of the dive Cheney-Bush started. We may be a Nation of dead men walking...too early to tell. Build Bush a library?
