Wal-Mart blues

Northwest Arkansas long ago came to the realization that it wasn't immune from the economic and real estate downturn, but Wal-Mart's rising sales had run counter to the generally gloomy national situation. Yesterday's news was the concrete signal, as if it was needed, that no one is truly safe in today's economy. It hurt. One of the great verities of Arkansas existence -- death, taxes and a rising price of Wal-Mart stock -- was proved inaccurate years ago, of course. Wal-Mart today sells for less per share than it did five years ago.

HOW DUMB. WAL MAR IS THE REASON THEY ARE HAVEING TO LAYOFF DO AWAY WITH SOME OF THE MANERGERS AT THE STORES WHY DO THEY NEED SO MANY MANERGERS AND ASST. MANGERS THEY DONT THE STORE MANGERS ARE OVER PAID THE EMPLOYEES DO ALL THE WORK . AND YES THE DEPARTMENT MANGERS NEED TO BE DONE AWAY WITH EARN YOUR PAY. A WHOLE WHOLE LOT OF WAL-MART PEOPLE ARE HIGHLY OVER PAID. CUT THEIR PAY DONT LET THEM GO A LITTLE BITT OF MONEY IS BETTER THEN NON AT ALL. WAL- MART GOT GREEDEY.

Out of 4 semi-major applicance purchases from their new NLR 107 store I had to return 3 as junk!Good quality control they sacrifice for the quantity buck it appears. I'm sure there's lots of people that don't bother to return stuff for one reason or another and suck up being screwed.
Get's me too thinking that if quality control is sacrificed in some areas of their store what's the probability that the same is true in more vital areas like pharmasy glasses etc. Until proven otherwise I'll pay more at stores that have better quality control.

Not to worry. WM is a major part of the Corporate State of America where corporations and government are closely linked into a compact of brotherhood. They will be taken care of, if need be, by big government who has access to the public's pocketbooks.
