Fort Smith hospital sold

Unlike newspapers, hospitals still can find buyers. City Wire has the dope on purchase of Sparks Health System in Fort Smith by a Georgia company.

People in Ft Smith should be thankful Triad was avoided as a suitor.

Sorry but we've had an arm of Triad strangling Sparks for the last 10 years. Triad marched into Fort Baptist with big plans for a new hospital built across town and all kinds of sweet deals for the doctors...it was Christmas every day for a while. Until the doctors figured out that Triad meant to be their judge, jury, paymaster, and executioner. That's when the shit hit the sterilized tool cabinet.

Since so many of the cattle were out of the gate, Sparks and Triad formed some kind of pact from hell and things have been going downhill ever since. So no matter that no one knows this Jackson group, chances are they're a million times better than this unholy alliance that's been going on that has caused a new giant medical clinic of ex-Sparks doctors to pop up across town. I just want to know when the bean counters from Triad leave Sparks, so I can be sure to have all my old shoes stacked up on the curb. Batter up!
