Assault reported

I have a report this morning from a friend at UALR that a graduate student was assaulted by five men and robbed about 9:30 p.m. last night while walking home from school. He reportedly was assaulted shortly after he'd crossed Fair Park Boulevard to leave campus. My correspondent said the student was treated at UAMS for injuries that were painful, but not serious.

UPDATE: Joan Duffy, a spokesperson for UALR, calls to report that the incident involved two, not five, assailants and was in the parking lot of the South Oaks apartments, not on the UALR campus. UALR did send out an alert to the campus after the incident.

Comments

By all means, stop those city buses from getting within a mile of campus!
