Gas leak

21t W. Capitol, KATV says.

Anybody in the vicinity with a report?

Channel 11 says Capitol Avenue is closed at Center Street and three blocks of Louisiana, Third to Sixth, are closed. Construction workers apparently ruptured the line, forcing removal of people from nearby offices as a precaution.

Comments

No. BUT I just drove down Capitol and the smell of gas by the construction site next to Bank of America is really really strong.

Really strong.

Lights out boys. no smoking

Channel 7 would know. That's just a block from their offices.

I live in the Lafayette Building at 6th & Louisiana -- we have been advised to stay out of the area until further notice. My fiance is there now, but they have not instructed him to leave as of yet, just to stay put. The traffic is getting a bit heavier. The gas leak can be smelled for blocks, and he says there are still hundreds of people outside waiting to get back into the buildings.

And I wasnt even aware Mike Huckabee was visiting Little Rock, but now I have his exact location here. This is better than GPS. Or it would be, if I cared.

You take the prize on that one tina!!

Geesh, will somebody tell the construction community where the $&*% #@% gas line is down there? What is this, the third time in the past several years and all within a block or so?

Get a map, people.
