Unless I missed something, the only Jew-sneering I've read about today was by Republican Kim Hendren.

Thankfully, Kim Hendren is not a democrat. You got that part wrong. He does happen to be a jerk.

Since the two main people mentioned in this article have the same last name, some further clarification might be necessary when attributing quotes.

Leslie....reread dear! The only family value that Webb, Hendren, and other Republicans have is MONEY, any way you can get it and keep it. If Webb had been born 2000 earlier he'd be casting lots for Jesus's personal belonging and he hung from the cross. But ya know....Jesus never married, he hung around with a pack of guys...didn't have much to do with women except for his mom and one whoreish kinda woman.......Lord...save us from torture loving, greedy, Republicans!

I don't know why Doyle is in such a snit about a lesbian being in charge of the state budget. I don't see how Kathy's sexual orientation in any way affects her basic math skills. And he is really really lucky he didn't lose his license to practice law over that will in which he had a beneficial interest.

Well, Bopbamboom, allow me to splain this here viewpoint to you. Im just so glad to be of help here AND add another post to durangokid's count, but someone else will have to do that cipherin' cause Im just a woman.

Everybody knows already that females just dont have no head for math. Thats why, back in the times when things in this world were done RIGHT, and according to those very Ten Commandments -- we might as well make 'em amendments -- you had your men taking care of bidness and the little woman having fun staying home with about eight screaming kids and sitting on the couch, eating bonbons, hair in pink curlers, watching the soaps and talk shows all day (This dinosaur probably thinks Dr Phil is Phil Donahue, too).

Now we all know the Lord didn't want wimmenfolks in the legislature messing things up and spoiling a man's good times. But we have to have them, so what can we do? Well, the WORST thing we can do, clearly, is to put a woman in charge of the budget. And now, Lord have mercy, we got us one of them Godless l-e-s-b-i-a-n-s in charge of the whole budget!

Clearly the only way to deal with this tragic misstep and slight to the Almighty God is for all the menfolks to go out to a little bar, I mean private meetin' spot,and figure out what the hell to do next.

Let's face it, folks, tough times call for tough action. I just dont know what those smart men in charge of the Ledge are gonna do about this one. She is, of course, a female, a Democrat, AND gay. Next thing we know she'll be wanting to adopt a mess of kids and everybody knows they'll all turn out gay. If a gay couple has children together, see, why, they're automatically gay too. It's in the genes.

I hope everyone knows Im being sarcastic and i dont agree with anything I just wrote up there. ;) Im bored. Work is boooring and I've seen this episode of Everybody Loves Raymond about 100 times already and we have a lake in the back yard, which means that every time I get taken out for a walk I get about 4000 mosquito bites. I expect this wouldnt happen if we hadnt altered God's natural plans for the legislature by sticking wimmenfolks in there.

There are five teenagers who have been living in our little 'hood for about six weeks, and as far as I can tell -- my desk faces the window --- only one of the little darlings chooses to attend school. we live in a nice part of town, yet there are 3 rental houses behind us, of which, thank the good Lord, two are empty -- Not to sound prejudiced, but when you rent a house with broken windows and "666" spray-painted on the side of the porch and flat-out holes in the wall, you don't attract a very responsible class of renters -- anyway, their grass is approaching 2 feet high. We all take turns calling the city, but grass can grow a lot in the time it takes them to look up the owner, contact him, and then give him 30 days to mow the damn yard. But I just saw tornado damage pictures on the news, and I shouldnt be griping about trashy rent houses and unmowed yards when we still are lucky enough to have an intact roof over our heads here.

Kathy Webb has received nothing but respect (and numerous awards) for the work she has done as a state rep. She is tireless, intelligent, and focused on the future. She spends her energy and her bully pulpit as a State Rep to help others in her district and the state. And she is honest.
Doyle Webb is a not very honest. If he stole from a clients' family he obviously missed the tho shall not steal portion admonition in the Bible. What a shame.
He obviously has nothing good to say for himself or his neanderthal party so he attacks Kathy. His constiuents should be more worried that he knows so little about the state budget that he thinks that a state rep is in control of the budget. It is this kind of hyperbole that has ruined the modern GOP.

Doyle Webb needs to be thankful that The Republicans gave him a job, his resume would lean toward herpatologist rather than party head. Wonder if he has access to party funds.

As your resident blog lesbian from Lezcrest, I did vote for Kathy Webb and not because she's a "sister.'' I talked to her and her three male opponents and she was clearly the best person for the job. She didn't even need a runoff, I might add. To their credit, her three male opponents never made one issue of her sexuality.

Let's talk about little Doyle Webb. Isn't he the pudgy guy with the Napoleon complex? Yep, that's him.

Oh, doesn't he have "issues'' with ethics that would only make him attractive to the state GOP? Check.

I see where the national media is having a field day with Kim Hendren's anti-Semitic comments but I've yet to see Little Doyle's anti-gay comments trumpeted. Of course, this will be picked up, too.

Let's see...Arkansas is known to the nation for three things now.

1) The Duggars having 49 kids and counting (with a grandbaby on the way!)

2) Kim Hendren is a Jew-hating bigot.

3) Doyle Webb thinks lesbians can't add and are abhorent. (Oh, did I mention he's a bigot?)

I really wonder how much time must pass before people like D. Webb "catch up". This is 2009: women matter and so do gays, lesbians, transgenders and bisexuals. Shame on Doyle Webb for playing upon peoples' fears and emotions to gain his particular goals.

A day will come when those who have been influenced by the Doyle Webbs of the world will come to realize we are truly brothers, created by the same God, living our lives as best we can and wanting the highest and best for each other. Arkansan's will tire of the same old divisive tactics and then where will he be?

To my dismay I attempted to convince some hard rwingers of those thoughts back in '72 when people were getting a belly full of Republicons and Richard Milhouse Nixon. I told them that God must have loved the little Chinese Communists because he created so many of them. They didn't think it was funny then nor do they find it funny now.

doyle webb, what a piece of work. he has already begun shipping some state gop business to his benton flower shop, according to recent quarterly finance reports. he insisted on a salary. where thereàs a will there is a webb is already a popular bumper sticker in saline county. and he is casting aspersions on of the most competent legislators at the capitol? wow.

all that is misssing is a defense of doyle webb and an attack on leslie from the local columnist who thinks it just hardens the hearts of the sexual bigots to expose their thinking to the light of publicity. give them time. a century or two. and they will see the light if we will just let them hate in peace.

What would you expect from a church founded to justify slavery. One of these days they will find that there are more than the first 5 books of the Bible and that there is a second part that talks about love. But that is for "real" churches.
