Mahony to Game and Fish

Tipster says Emon Mahony of El Dorado will be Gov. Mike Beebe's next appointment to the state Game and Fish Commission. He certainly would fit the standard G&FC profile. He would succeed Freddie Black of Lake Village, whose term ended.

The former president of Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Company now manages a family business. He was on Beebe's transition team and intervened, as a hunting club member in Hempstead County, against the SWEPCO power plant.

You might drop by the Nature Center in the River Market neighborhood Wednesday to check out the veracity of the tip.

Lovely...he's one of the more disliked men in the state. Soon ducks will be charged for landing on area lakes.

Sure are a lot of Mahonys on Follow the Money for 2006.

I will need to update my email list for the commissioners.
I blast them every time G&F holds the rising lake water so they can keep the gravel dry below the dam and flood many of us that live on the lake.

Great, another Richey Rich bitch.

Not to abort too far but, Alligator you may want to look into the Corp of Engineers for those decisions. I think they have the final say so on 90% or better of Ark lakes and releases. They "save" the pool level for maximum generation revenues.

I should have been more clear. I'm talking about Lake Conway. The largest lake in the world owned by a G&F.

Don't know that I have any reason to oppose or be sad over Mahoney's selection as a Game and Fish Commissioner. His opposition to the coal plant is OK with me, he's no richer than Freddie Black, and he is a hunter.

Some of you folks just have the need to bitch, I suppose.

Let Emon run your gas company for a few years and then get back to me, blue.
