Ensign's religious intervention
U.S. Sen. John Ensign won't be president. Thank goodness. But this story is too rich not to pass along. It is about a reported intervention by a secretive religious group, including Sen. Tom Coburn, to get Ensign to quit his philandering ways. They even accompanied him to a Fed Ex drop with a letter breaking things off with his mistress. As soon as Ensign shook loose from his faithful keepers, however, he called his girlfriend to tell her to ignore the letter and then shacked up with her again.

Even god, via his Earthly agents, cannot break the bonds of True Love. When a man's brain is down in his crotch nothing should surprise anyone.
Let's see this is TWO Republicon Senators who were the first to call for Clinton's resignation because of extramarital sex. Wait! Plus, one Guv, Mark-I-love-her-so-much-Sanford.
Can there be a better joke going than a Republicon politician?

Elwood,
You got that right. I just wish The Daily Show did not finish up their run last week before all the various Palin/Ensign/Sanford/Coburn crap veered off into the Alice in Wonderland realm it has.
You can't write this stuff people, fiction readers would claim you had gone too far off on a tangent, it would not be believable.
Sheesh!

And speaking of Republicons......HE FOUND WORK!......................
Just above the horny Ensign story was this.
Texas Tech has officially announced the hiring of Alberto Gonzales.
The press release, which says Gonzales will work as both a recruiter and teach a junior-level course on "contemporary issues in the executive branch," makes no mention of Gonzo's involvement in the U.S. attorneys scandal (among other things) or his subsequent resignation. Instead, it ends with, "...and later was appointed Attorney General."

Yes this story is indeed rich. All the richer because one of the C Street Fellowship members is none other than Hillary Clinton.
No word yet on whether she was involved in the intervention.

And these men, representatives of the United States Government, went to a FED-EX instead of the USPS? What horrid examples of faith in the government they're running. They choose to use a private postal carrier instead of our own USPS. Eee gadd! What disloyalty!
