What's that boom?
Did you notice that revenue from the increased gas severance tax fell almost 60 percent below forecast in fiscal 2009? That means, of course, that production fell that far short. Gas price drops didn't help.
Just remember, nobody can prove all those ruined water wells have anything to do with nearby gas exploration. (They can't disprove it, either, but the newspaper articles rarely say that.) The fractured roads, the pollution from improper waste disposal, the noise -- that we can prove. But don't you know that's just the sight, sound and smell of money? Short sighted R Us.

Another fallout of the drilling/exploration (unproven, of course) is that it apparently acts the same as "*grunting" for worms - unintended of course. All I know is that recently dozens, if not hundreds, of worms are coming out of the ground all over our place, only to be baked by the sun. HOPE earthworms aren't headed for the honeybee fate...

They are starting to taste their water's difference. Like with other states, that is the beginning. Those in the drilling paths, it is best to stock up on bottled water now, ya hear. If you have a private well you and your family are still screwed.
