You be the judge

There are people I know -- mature people of sound judgment who are not prone to exaggeration -- who think you can make the case that the toe-sucking, two-timing Dick Morris is the sleaziest person in America.

See for yourself tomorrow. He's going to be headliner for the Billionaire Koch Family's Anti-Health Care Medicine Show, coming soon to Arkansas.

(And here's a scrap of local news: The developer's friend and the immigrant's nightmare, Rogers Mayor Steve Womack, is joining the caravan on down the road.)

Billionaires For Wealthcare reports -6 more weeks of delays... $5 Million in lobbying a week... just $30 million more to stop reform? We can do that, easy!

"If there was any doubt that Senate Republicans are eager to drag their heels when it comes to health care reform, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) removed it on Sunday.

The Kentucky Republican, during an appearance on "Fox News Sunday," demanded that the Senate take, at the very least, six weeks to deliberate legislation once it is sent to the floor for amendments.

"There will be a lot of amendments over a lot of weeks. The Senate is not the House, you saw in the House there was three votes and it was over in one day," McConnell warned. "This will be on the floor for quite a long time."

Morris is in the top 5 of sleaze as well as a presidential (George the Wurst) medal winner for being a self dealing two timer. Of course, Karl Rove is their king of sleaze and his prince, Tim Griffin, rules over Arkansas.

We don't need no Health Insurance Reform. We need TAX CUTS. They worked so well the last time we were in trouble. Just think if TAX CUTS could be extended we wouldn't be in this mess now. If Bush had not been a sellout and just COMPLETELY REMOVED ALL CAPITAL GAINS TAXEs we wouldn't owe COMMUNIST CHINA two trillion dollars. But no, those fake conservatives, Bush and Cheney, had to leave capital gains rates at FIFTEEN PER CENT! That's a disgrace to all people who strive to get ahead, like Dick Morris.

No gubbermint agents telling me when to die because it's much better for Blue Cross or HUMANA to do it by refusing care and or coverage. That's the American Way, let a well-paid CEO sign your death warrant so we can have lower TAXES!. I know the honorable Mayor Womack will join me in this affirmation that TAX CUTS will be the only thing that saves AMERICA!

.

I've never understood the ability of Morris to be in so thick with the Media unless the Media is nothing but sleaze.

Depends upon whose toes you suck, Cato.

Like I'm wondering if Dick and Teresa will get together for a little sucking session?

.

The national debt crossed $12 trillion. We hit $12,031,299,186,290.07 yesterday (click name). What's our credit limit? When does inflation kick in because the treasury started to print paper to pay our bills and debt payments? How much will interest on our debt rise once everyone catches on that the dollar isn't worth a dollar the next year? Who's going to bail us out? Speculators are already betting on gold. Betting on oil is coming. Home prices might recover due to inflation. Wages will have to increase. And healthcare costs will increase even more.

Let's start fixing by doing the obvious. Raise capital gains taxes. Raise them as high as what the rest of us have to pay for when we work. Most of us can't max our retirement contributions much less spend any extra money speculating on stocks (it seems easier to bet on lotto tickets than corporate shares).

Get the Silver Spoon tax where it used to be under the Reagan administration (someone please tell Sarah Palin that Reagan didn't get rid of it). Don't the trust fund babies need to know what it takes to earn money instead of it being handed to them because their dads and moms got rich off of Republican administrations? And the wealthy elderly should be worried about their health. The estate tax is gone next year unless something is done. What's going to happen to old wealthy people or maybe even some not so close to death? Are some going to try to off themselves next year so they can avoid potential future taxes? The top tax rate after a 3.5 million exclusion goes from 45% to 0% in 2010. Do you think their kids are noticing how much more money they get if their parents die next year? If there weren't so few of them, I might be concerned that there could be a different kind of healthcare crisis. Why do Republicans hate old people?

Get out of Afghanistan. Get out of Iraq. Saves billions every year. Savings could be redirected towards our health, which allows us to work more and generates more taxes.

Stop subsidizing corn and big corporate farms so we won't be adding corn derivatives, sugars and starches, to every food in the store. Just about everything has some type of corn filler. All of that stuff makes the food cheaper but it also makes us tons heavier. So, it helps our health and saves us money in subsidies.

So was Morris a sleaze when he was advising bubba? Did he start to become a sleaze when he quit bubba? Is that the standard for 'sleaze' when you work for bubba or don't work for bubba? Morris knows the democrats and where the skeletons are.

Yes, he was Beau. Unknown at the time. Toe sucking made him famous. Just as we later found out about "Wide Stanze" Craig.

Morris is just another PR whore, paid to push an agenda. He was more successful for Clinton than he has been since, as far as getting results. Maybe it was the message and not the massager that counted.

It's not just Republicans determined to kill health insurance reform. Bart Stupak (D - Michigan) is The Family-backed Catholic whose throwback anti-choice amendment threatens everything. A bi-partisan effort by bought-and-paid for congresspeople on both sides to extort Americans for even MORE!

Here's Ali Davis from this morning:

"Stupak is getting a little help from his pals at The Family - the only bipartisan work we're seeing in Congress at all lately. Which would be an inspiring example if they weren't dedicated to establishing a national theocracy."

A paper published by a think tank last month warned that Sen. Blanche Lincoln's ascendancy to the Agriculture Committee chairmanship was a bad omen for passage of climate-change legislation in 2010 due to her close ties to agricultural producers and processors seen as major contributors of greenhouse gases. /more/
