Bill Clinton Takes the Gloves Off

Finally! Finally, Bill Clinton has got mad. The ailing Osama doesn't get as many kicks to the head on a daily basis as does Bill Clinton. And it looks like maybe he's had enough.  The interview with Fox's Chris Wallace will not air until Sunday but already the rough transcript of the show has been released. Fox is spinning it as an out of control Clinton who has gone a little crazy. I say it's Bill Clinton telling the truth to that little worm Chris Wallace.  Here is a good link to what took place in the interview.

If you're in a hurry and just want to read the rough transcript click here.

I would hope that our Senators Lincoln and Pryor take a tip from President Clinton and slap themselves enough to become mad as hell and not take it any more. They are certainly not doing the jobs we expect them to do and the jobs we pay them very well to do.  It's time we all took off the gloves and socked it to the Republicans who have failed us, lied to us and twisted all truth out of existence.

Ok, this is one I want to see. If someone will tell me what time, I'll wrest the television away from hubby.

Same question. I don't watch Fox News or Chris Wallace but mightl make an exception Sunday. What time???

Looks to me Fox News Sunday will air tomorrow morning at 10 am Fort Smith time, which I think is the exact same time in Pocahontas. I guess I will put a condom on my Tivo and record it.

Fox is advertising it like you need to tune in and watch Bill Clinton go crazy. Judging from the transcript it will not be a good day to be Chris Wallace, from what I read Clinton makes Wallace look like the cheat and fool that he is. There's one acorn that fell far from the tree.

Good sleuthing, DBI.

Looks like Clinton took the hide off Wallace.

10:00 a.m. seems like a strange time to air the piece, because, if they are going to try to paint Clinton as crazy, the target audience will be at church. (Not Bush, of course, who doesn't attend, but I'll bet he will be watching.)
Maybe Fox wants to claim that "due to an overwhelming response from the viewing audience, we feel compelled to offer this again at a more covenient time for those who were attending church when it was originally scheduled."

On the other hand, if they realize that Wallace got whipped by Clinton, they might want to hide it from the viewers by airing it at 10:00 a.m., and just hope the whole thing will go away.

I dunno, just a thought.
And, way to go, Bill.

Just imagine Pryor and Lincoln waking up and standing on their hind legs like that! I'd probably pass out and hurt myself falling.....

Actually after much searching it appears because Pharis Broadcasting has been bought up by someone else and KNWA has jettisoned channel 24 in Fort Smith for greener pastures in Fayetteville that it is not possible to watch the miserable Fox News Sunday in the Fort Smith area. I think that's a plus really.

So I will have to catch the Clinton interview on Crooks and Liars or something like that. I can't get Fox News Sunday and I will sleep better tonight knowing their dis-information will not be fouling my air waves...it's good for old people and it's good for my children that we can't get Fox News Sunday. I'd rather have toe fungus anyway.

Isn't that t a real Howler! The leaders of
American Churchianity- Bush, Rove, Cheney, none of them have ever been church goers. Has Miss Ann ever graced the pews?
_
But you gotta hand it to Bush-Rove-Cheney, the color of money is always green whether it comes from churchianity or corporations.

I love Bill Clinton for what he did and said today on Fox News. I love Juan Williams for being a wisper of reason in the cloud of spin.

Bill is not re-writing history. Hell he's writing it. He was always happy when his critics attacked him. It gave him free liscense to attack back. So, when 2 min into the interview he was attacked, he let loose a storm of facts, challenges and talking points that will reverbrate for the next week on the news networks.

All he said, mind you, is what other more timid democrats have been saying all along.

Thank you Bill. I will forever be a Friend of Bill. (Oh, and welcome to the club DBI. I hear-tell you are new.)

Bill did everything short of stand up, turn over the table between them and punch Wallace. He didn't have to resort to physical violence because he's so intelligent he could bitch-slap the loser verbally. He proved what is effective - fight back! Hold the floor! Speak the truth! Point out the inconsistencies and never back down.

I can think of two men - one Republican and one Democrat, who should have had this kind of courage in the face of Bush/Rove smears - and we'd not be in this mess today. One was John McCain in 2000 who plainly should have stood up from the debate table in the North Carolina primary and whipped Bush's ass, on tv, for the Bush campaign's nasty smears against his wife and his child.

The other was John Kerry and he should have fought like a tiger the minute the Swift Boating began. We try to teach our children to do what is right, no matter what the consequences are. There are times in life when you have to stand up and not only defend, but demonstrate your character. Both those times are good examples. Had their vigorous defenses of themselves lost Kerry or McCain their campaigns it wouldn't have mattered. They'd have stood up for their own characters and lives. And look what happened when they didn't. They lost anyway.

McCain I disrespect most of all and do NOT be fooled into thinking that this recent debate over the torture amendment was "a compromise." This whole issue is McCain's second time to cave on torture. A man who was tortured himself! When the first peep of torture allegations began I expected a TORTURE VICTIM HIMSELF to LEAD the investigation. So far we have convicted two near-idiots for Abu Ghraib that reach to the level of staff sergeant. Boy, that's getting to the problem from top to bottom, isn't. McCain should have led a Senate delegation INTO Abu Ghraib with a contingent of press following him. He sold out. He wants to be president badly enough to sell his soul. He would betray himself. How can you expect he would defend you. Watch out for this shell of a man because all that's left is his drive for power. And so many people still like him, it's scary.

Kerry tried to fight back against undignified accusations with dignity, with the endorsement of esteemed military commanders, etc. He didn't realize that there are times in human history when you punch first, HARD and THEN ask your bleeding opponent on the floor "would you like to repeat what you just said?"

Listen, I'm not a violent person by ANY stretch of the imagination. But there are some lies and insults that must be countered immediately, on the spot, with conviction and dread finality. One is when you are called a liar (Kerry) and the other is when your family is smeared and insulted (McCain.) No one can or should have to do that for you. You should do it yourself no matter what a scene it causes.

Today, Clinton did just that. It is an OBJECT LESSON for all candidates and all people but one I hope most of all that new Democratic candidates, the fighting Dems from Iraq service especially, take to heart and emulate forcefully. Don't think their service won't be smeared, it will.

It takes a big person to admit mistakes - which Clinton freely did today and did also with the Sept. 11 commission. Contrast that with the fact that Bush can think of no mistakes he has made (press conference) and would not testify either alone or under oath to the Sept. 11 Commission.

All I can hope is that Clinton will keep doing this and perhaps the rest of the Democrats will catch on. Unfortunately it is either in your character or it isn't. Let's hope we can elect candidates who have a surer sense of their own honor.

>>>>Had their vigorous defenses of themselves lost Kerry or McCain their campaigns it wouldn't have mattered. <<<

Hear, hear...but I don't think they would have lost.
I think most Americans, except repugs and asshats like Ann Coulter, really admire a man who stands up to defend his honor or that of his family.
I think it would have put an end to that bastard Rove and his slimy ways just like Murrow and the "have you no shame Senator?" guy helped put an end to that maniac McCarthy.
If only we could have our reps and President have to deal with a situation like Parliment, then we would really see what they were made of.

I love Bill, missed the interview and hope the full thing gets on youtube soon so we can watch Chris Wallace get the smack down from Bill.

Perchance this will embaress Blance and Mark into acting like Dems.

In 2 or 3 short days, we'll find out if the Big Dawg's strategy work.

Ya, I know he was getting p.o'ed about the misinformation and well, LIES about his record.

The telling thing will be, will the main stream media pick up the bitch slap? If they do, and it's plays well....expect every single Dem in a tight race to pull their balls out of the closet and start doing exactly what Bill did.

Oh Happy day!!!
Can ya believe that Chris is Mike's kid? Can't pick your relatives I guess.

Oh my, mag. I'm the kind of guy who normally only stands up and yells at a football game, but I was doing just that here at my computer after viewing the Part I video and reading these comments, especially yours. I'm breathless.

As someone on another thread opined, it's time to repeal the 22nd Amendment. Two years is plenty of time to mount a presidential campaign. Hell, in Europe they do it in just days or weeks.

DBI,
Good job. How the hell do you find this blog short of linking to it from AT?
I'm so confused.

Rick, it is hard to get to the additional blogs at this time. The way I do it is bookmark it, but before I was bright enough to do that I would have to go back to the AT homepage and find their link to the blogs. That takes you to all the new folks that are busy testing their new wings.

The hardest thing for me is not posting threatening things towards Bill Frist on this blog. I swear....every time I see that cretin on TV my blood pressure goes up 50 clicks. All the Democrats have to do to win the upcoming election is to put a picture of Frist on their campaign materials and ask the voter who do you prefer....ME or this box headed freak of nature.

I am viewing Republicans like I did Nazis and Japs* as a child growing up soon after the end of WWII. Germany and Japan were our enemy, Republicans are now are enemy. All 3 in their worst moments were incredibly sneaky, trying to inject their vile poison into our system. We stopped Germany and Japan in 1945. We now have to drop an A-bomb on the Republicans if we want to save our country. We all must grow a set like Bill Clinton and set on them like white on rice. We're currently fighting 2 wars, the one for Iraq and the one for America. If we lose America, won't much matter what happens in Iraq. To borrow a line from the Decider.....either you're with us or you're a Republican and that includes weak Democrats already in office who refuse to step up to the plate and do their number one job, to protect us from our enemies, domestic and foreign.

*Sorry little grasshoppers, in the 1950s we called the Japanese, Japs. Only after years of being bombed with their electronics and cars did we lighten up over WWII and start calling them Japanese.

If anyone is still interested, here is a link to a Media Matters story on all the chances that Fox News Sunday had to to ask the other side what they were doing for 9 months while the terrorists were planning an attack.

Excellent link TP.....wonder if the mainstream media will say jack about these findings? I won't be holding my breath.
