School House Rocks Auditions!

Audtions, Auditions, Auditions!!!!

Auditions for the Community Theatre of Little Rock's summer musical, "Schoolhouse Rock Live!" will be held Saturday, June 9th at 10am and Monday, June 11th at 7pm at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church at 2200 Kavanaugh. This audition is open to adults and teens 16 and older.

Production dates are July 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th, 28th and 29th.  Park and enter in the back of the church. Please bring sheet music or be able to sing from music provided by the musical director.   Dance auditions will also be held, and simple dance combinations will be taught, so dress accordingly.

"Schoolhouse Rock Live!" is based on the popular ABC Saturday Morning series, and tells the story of Tom, a nerve-wracked schoolteacher nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such beloved "Schoolhouse Rock" songs as "Just A Bill," "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction." The stage musical was originally conceived and directed by Scott Ferguson, with book by Scott Ferguson, Kyle Hall and George Keating.

Trisha H. Spione will be directing this production, with musical direction by Jeannie Smith and choreography by Lisa Luyet. Help is needed in all areas of the production, so come out and get involved.

For questions, call the Community Theatre at 663-9494 or contact via email at communitytheatreoflittlerock[at]hotmail.com. You may also contact the director at 324-9305.
