Another Arkansan on Broadway....

Ashlie Atkinson, Arkansas Native, makes her broadway debut!  Arkansas native Ashlie Atkinson (Fat Pig, Rescue Me, Inside Man, Sex in the City (movie)) has made her Broadway Debut in The Ritz, presented by the Roundabout Theater Co. at Studio 54, October 11 - December 2, 2007 (previews started September 15, 2007)!

More on The Ritz from Broadway.com, When Gaetano Proclo needs to hide from mobster Carmine Vespucci, he escapes to the Ritz. When Gaetano realizes the Ritz is a gay bathhouse and not a Turkish bath, he pretends to be a big-time Broadway producer to keep suspicions low. When Carmine locates Gaetano, wild, manic mayhem ensues.
The Ritz premiered on Broadway in January 1975 at the Longacre Theatre. After closing, it was made into a feature film starring Broadway leading players Jack Weston (Gaetano), Rita Moreno (Googie) and Jerry Stiller (Carmine).

The revival includes Rosie Perez (Do the Right Thing, White Men Can't Jump, etc.) as well as other notable Broadway stars.

Break-a-leg Ashlie!

If you are in NYC any time soon, go see your fellow Arkansan on stage...
