Hot chicken

Every time I go to Nashville, I make a point to drive out to Prince's Hot Chicken on the north side of town for what's truly one of singularly transcendent dining experiences you can have: pan-fried chicken that's coated in fever-inducing DAMN HOT spices.

My buddy from Nashville, Dave Ramsey, introduced me to Prince's and later wrote a nice article about it for the Oxford American.

I've got Hot Chicken on my mind because Sellout Music has an amazing clip from Joe York's documentary on the Nashville phenomenon. It's from the Southern Foodways Alliance Film series.
