Kickin'

Welcome a new contributor to Eat Arkansas, David Simmons of Conway, whose hobby is digital photography and who, happily, often has food in his viewfinder. Ninja Poodles tipped me to him. Turns out she'd been admiring his Arkansas food photos on flickr. So I asked if he'd like to chip in here. His first report:
It's the Kick-Ass Chicken at the Flying Saucer. I'd generally rather have burgers than deli style food for a quick lunch, but must say that this sandwich was pretty darn good. A pickle spear was included, and I opted for the very tasty potato salad rather than fries. Must admit that the funny name for the sandwich grabbed my attention.

Is it just me, or does that look like Whole Hog potato salad? Do they taste the same?
I could eat gallons of Whole Hog potato salad! It's my favorite! Sorry Grandma...

Hello, Mordy! It's been too long since I've had Whole Hog's potato salad. That's my shot of the sandwich above. I'll work on providing a higher res version. I did go to Whole Hog for lunch today and had the Loaded Baked Potato with Pulled Chicken. Wow! Words can't do it justice. I've got several food shots on my Flickr page that I'll be contributing over time.

Here's a high res look at the sandwich: http://www.flickr.com/photos/davidsimmons/536158955/
ARK. BLOG: David. We have to figure out an easy way for me to post the high-res bigger. Let me know.

That's right.
Ninjapoodles: STARMAKER.
I would eat out with Dave any time--not on a regular basis, because he, like me, tends toward Foods That Will Kill You, but from time to time. I trust his taste!

I believe I have some instructions, from a web-design friend who got in and checked under MT's hood, so to speak, on this very issue of the pictures. Happy to share.
OR, you can just use the photo's flickr URL...but that is set at 500 pixels wide, which we now know is a bit too wide.
But anyway, if David wants to get with me, I think I can share what I've learned.
