Did ya leave room for dessert?
A few of my wife's favorites-
Bread Pudding from the Faded Rose.
Creme Brulee from Ciao downtown.
Creme Brulee from Cafe Prego in the Heights (OK- she likes Creme Brulee- a lot!).
To be honest, I don't eat much sugar, but my wife loves all of these desserts. And they sure do smell good.
Got a favorite place for dessert?

chocolate creme brulle from brave new restaurant. we cannot go there without splitting it. it is almost too rich for one person to eat alone.

Am a creme brule afficianado. True, I ciao and brave new but Community Bakery is probably my fave, because I couple it with a double expresso with half and half. yum

My hubby and I love the chocolate creme brulee at Cafe Prego in the Heights. Any pie from Chip's is de-lish! The fried pies at AR Burger Co. are also really tasty!

This time of year, the folks at Acadia make ice cream. By hand. Using some of the best ingredients I've had the pleasure of eating. My favorites are blueberry, blackberry, ginger, ginger mango and jalapeno honey. That's right. Jalapeno honey ice cream. Think a hot cinnamon-y kind of heat that turns sweet. Had it at a wine dinner and when paired with the dessert wine for the evening, the heat and sweet finish turned into a toasted nutty flavor. Mr EY and I couldn't believe what we were tasting.

Took a lady friend to So's for her birthday last night. Although I am not a dessert person we partnered up on the cheesecake which they brought garnished with a candle. I have to say that the cheesecake was damned good. This made a very special person happy. That's the point of dessert, non?

If you are going to So for dessert, try the "Chocolate Sack"--awful name, but probably the most amazing dessert I've ever had. If you wife loves creme brulee, try the white chocolate creme brulee at Capeo.

My favorite dessert is Strawberry Shortcake from The Bulldog in Bald Knob. It is well worth the drive.

My favorite creme brulee is also the chocolate version of Peter Brave's. Unlike Zonker, I do not, however, share it. ;-P
