Wanna Salsa?
Lets talk Salsa. My favorite is at Taqueria Karina on 65th. Hot, spicy, and never the same twice, I just love the stuff. It's too spicy for the wife, so she usually orders some cheese dip or guacamole (both delish).
Another place that we've discovered that has great free chips and salsa is Mariscos de Sinaloa on Baseline Road, near Geyer Springs. You get both a spicy green jalepeno salsa and a milder red salsa (pictured above). Although I suspect that the heat changes daily as it does at Taqueria Karina. Both are fresh and zesty. The food here ain't too shabby either, but thats for another post.
What I wanna know right now is your opinion so-
Where do you think is the best dang Salsa in Little Rock/Central Arkansas?

La Hacienda's "middle" fresh salsa is my favorite. I love love love cilantro in salsa and this has an OK amount. They could triple it and I'd be thrilled. The cooked, slightly sweet salsa doesn't have enough "tomato-ey-ness" for me and the green is usually too hot, although I always try it to see.

I must admit I haven't hit many of the SWLR authentic Mexican restaurants, but in terms of mainstream, I think the Loca Luna's smoky tomato salsa is the very best around

The green salsa at La Hacienda gets my vote, especially when combined with a little of their wonderful queso.

Knowing how much ya'll like to diss chains, I'll take my beating when I say On the Border has the best salsa. I do like the pico de gallo middle "salsa" offering at L Hacienda that the previous poster noted, and the green stuff was great in my younger days when it didn't tear me up.
I was mildly surprised recently with the Faded Rose salsa. Always enjoyed the Judge's Cheese Dip and never had tried the salsa. Pretty good stuff.
Flying Burrito's choices of salsa are all pretty good, too.
ARK. BLOG: I've been to On the Border twice. The salsa was good. Nothing else stood out.

La Hacienda's salsa, as described above, is hands down the best salsa I've ever had. My husband and I have a recipe that comes close, but still doesn't compare. I also love their warm onion salsa--very tasty. I'm sure the green is great, but I can't handle the heat.
Seeing the comment from Big Fun just reminded me of something. This weekend, my husband and I were trying to decide where to go to lunch, and we were looking through City Search and reading reviews. We came across Loca Luna's... Now maybe this is old news to some of you, but I found it hilarious. Apparently Mark Abernathy wrote a review of his own restaurant under Loca Luna on City Search. I've attached the link below so everyone can enjoy! Max, maybe this needs to be a new post on the food blog...

The salsa verde at Casa Mexicana on Khiel Avenue in Sherwood is kick-ass! Love to slather it on the Tacos Carne Asada. I also dump it on the rice and beans and then scoop the whole thing up with the homemade chips. Not recommended for those who are afraid of a little heat.
