Surf and Turf

Mar y Tierra- Sizzling shrimp and beef mixed with bell pepper, tomato and onion, griddled, and baked with a special chipotle sauce on top.  Comes with rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and warm tortillas.  I will never order anything else from Casa Manana again.  $10.99 and its enough for two meals.  Dang.  I'm gettin hungry just thinkin about this dish.

6820 Cantrell Road, 280-9888.

I do love me some cheese, but in this case I'm glad that's special chipotle sauce and not cheese on top.

It looks great and I'll be giving that a try. i Ole !

I found Casa Manana after moving to Little Rock from the southwest. The green tomatillo salsa, good beer and patio made me feel a little less homesick at the time. If they'd let some sage or pinion wood smolder in an outside fireplace to get the smells right it would be perfect. They have one of the best patios in Little Rock.
The tortilla soup is always good. You can certainly get more authentic Mexican food in town than Casa Mananna but if you're not up for exploring or want more than a taco stand setting for dinner then it's the place to go. The service can sometimes be slow in my experience but that just gives you time to enjoy another beer and relax.

Absolutely the best place in town, from their humble beginnings in '96 on Asher Avenue. My usual order is a Casa Manana veggie burrito, but I will probably have a Mar y Tierra tonight. I'm salivating like Pavlov's dog just looking at the picture. The taco soup is good to the last drop and it's good too. Viva, Casa Manana
