Burger Fix

It occured to me that although my first post on this blog was about a cheeseburger from Hall and Son's Produce on Wright Ave., there was actually no picture of the burger.

So here ya go.

We picked up a couple of burgers at Hall's for lunch today.  For those who haven't had this burger, you're missing out.

Also, if you're new to the Eat Arkansas blog, please check out the archives located on the right side of the page.  There's some good stuff in there.

Nice, BB. Where did you pick that up?

Belly Boy: Hall and Sons Produce on Wright Avenue. I edited the post to clear up any confusion.

Lunch at Super 7 mexican buffet at 1400 block John Barrow. Number one son and I the only gringos in the crowded room. Great food, what I thought was an interesting green bean salad was cactus. Great service too. No tea, but the water arrived w/ a chunk of fresh cut lime!

Did anyone else notice the note in Arkansas Business that Feltner's What-A-Burger in Russellville might be up for sale? What a shame! I will make it a point to travel through there soon.

I was less than impressed with Cheeseburger Cheeseburger today for lunch.
For one people in the South drink Coke, not Pepsi. Yankees drink Pepsi.
The onion rings weren't fresh, the fries were cold and the burger came with that awful tasting grill gunk.
I won't be going back, ever.

OnesAndZeros, I read that and can only hope that someone local will keep the legend alive. There is talk of the fast food Whataburger chain possibly buying it. That would be a huge mistake. I don't see how it would be the same if that happened.

On a brighter note, there is an incredible relatively new burger and shake restaurant in Russellville. It's called C.J.'s Butcher Boy Burgers.
