A run to the border

Or at least it feels like it at Taqueria Karina.

The chips come with a warm salsa that can range from moderately spicy to hell broth.  It was fairly spicy this Sunday afternoon, but mild enough for Mrs. Belly-  who sometimes has to order the cheese dip.

The Sunday special is Menudo, or tripe soup.  It was smoldering and I loved it.

And for dessert- a big fried tilapia.

It helps to know a little Spanish or at least be married to one that does.  This is as authentic as it gets folks.  I really need to move to SW Little Rock.  I'd probably never cook.

5309 W. 65th Street.  Closed Wednesdays.
