Y'all are missing out...
on one heck of a burger. I noticed that the "Homestyle Burgers" shack at 12th street and Adams in Little Rock has changed hands. It's now "Burger Brothers". I decided to give it a go.

Probably one of the better decisions I've made recently.

I took a quick photo of the inside just so you know its not really a sit down kinda place. You walk in, turn to your right and order through a half door into the kitchen. Apparently, most everyone gets their order to go. They have other items such as chicken wings, hot dogs, and turkey sammiches, but I figure at a burger joint- you should order a burger. And boy did I ever. I give you the Bacon Cheeseburger from Burger Brothers-

I don't state this lightly- this is one of the best burgers I've had in a long while. I had it topped with everything- Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mustard, onions, and ketchup. The patty was huge, moist, and perfectly seasoned. Speaking of seasoned, the fries ain't too shabby either. A bacon cheeseburger, fries, and drink (can) combo will set you back $4.99. That wasn't a typo. Other combos are even less.
They're open from 10:30 am till 8:00 pm Monday-Saturday. Tell 'em Eat Arkansas sent ya.

Yo Belly Boy, Max or anybody else...
Where can I find some Polska Wyrobas. For those you that don't speak Polish, that's Polish Pickles. Any ideas? I've tried kroger and fresh market, no luck so far.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Mama Bea would be mad if I ever got a burger anywhere else. I just can't make Mama Bea mad, we're too tight.

I had beautiful pictures of my mushroom cheeseburger at Port of Call in New Orleans from this weekend. A melt in your mouth patty about an inch think, with shredded swiss cheese and wine sauteed mushrooms! And then I lost the memory stick out of my camera sometime between Port of Call at lunch and dinner that night. Couldn't have been the 24 oz. Monsoon Punch....
ARK. BLOG: Sorry to hear that. The Port is a golden oldie. I lived around the corner one summer on Barracks Street and the burger was famous then, in 1969.
