Ol' Faithful

One of the very few places in Little Rock that I have found to be reliable restaurant every time out is Cafe' Prego.  The prices are reasonable, the service is attentive, the wine list is good, and the food is excellent.

Shrimp Crepes with mixed veggies is an excellent light dinner choice-

Myself- I can't seem to steer clear of the eggplant parmesan.   A side of pasta clinches the deal- all for about 10 bucks.  This dish is easy to botch- I've seen it done too many times, but Prego nails it every time.

What's your Ol' Faithful?

Comments

I second the vote for Prego, but my "Ol Faithful" is Acadia. Always Acadia!

Acadia as well. Superior service, they remember your name.

Cheers in the Heights. From burgers and fried crawfish tails (Chris Tanner was the first to do them in this market) to more upscale food. Comfortable, nice waitrons, superbly priced and creative wine list.

This is not the first time I've mentioned these restaurants but I'm very fond of Senor Tequila and Hanaroo. Faded Rose is also an old standby - however, I'm not sure I'd list them under "Ol 'Faithful"

I agree w/Big Fun. For my money you can't beat Cheers especially if you don't really have a hankering for anything in particular. The specials are always good and you can get anything from a hamburger to steak and seafood. I've never had a bad experience there. Never.

Local, local, local- NO NATIONAL CHAINS!!
Favorite is matter of taste taht makes the world go 'round

I'd have to go with Arkansas Burger Company when I want something casual and Ciao Baci when I want something fancy.
