Garlic and Herb Monkey Bread

All my monkey bread experiences in the past have been with sweet monkey bread, so when I saw the recipe for this savory monkey bread, I had to try it. I LOVE garlic, and because rosemary is very plentiful at our house now, it was the perfect thing to try. I'm still a little warry about baking bread, mostly because I don't have that much experience with it, but it still turned out well. This is the kind of bread where you think, "Oh I'll just have a little piece," but before you know it you've eaten half of the loaf.

Comments

We tried this last night, after seeing it on your regular site. It was absolutely mouth-watering and totally overshadowed the lovely salmon dish we prepared to go with it.

Thanks for the recipe!

After reading about this on your site AND seeing Kelly's comments, I HAVE to make this....maybe this weekend or for SB Sunday

Great, now I'm starving. That looks amazing. I'm much too busy/lazy to pull off bread from scratch so I'm gonna cheat with some frozen dinner rools I think...

Just before Thanksgiving a coworker go me hooked on Brocolli Cornbread. I think I'll have to make some tonight. The office is freezing and my nice warm kitchen is calling.

BROCOLLI CORNBREAD
2 pkg Jiffy cornbread mix
4 eggs
8 oz pkg frozen brocolli
small cont. cottage cheese
1 1/2 sticks butter

Melt butter in your baking pan as you preheat the oven. In bowl mix the above ingredients and pour into pan. Cook according to Jiffy box.

Way too much butter to resemble anything close to healthy...

Isn't that wonderful, Basil? A friend makes it every once in a while and I go to HER house to eat it so that I don't have the leftovers sitting around.
