U.S. Pizza doings

Two longtime U.S. Pizza Co. employees, Lana Powers and Julie Mara, plan to open a U.S. Pizza franchise on 402 S. Louisiana St. in the former home of House of Philly Cheese Steak. Powers said U.S. Pizza Co. Salad Express will serve salads, sandwiches, soup and breadsticks, not pizza. The menu will mirror U.S. Pizza’s offerings, with a few additions. The restaurant should open on or before May 1, Powers said.
U.S. Pizza owner Judy Waller said that she plans to grow the U.S. Pizza empire with franchises as well as stores she owns and operates. The long in development new U.S. Pizza location on Kavanaugh in Hillcrest should be ready within 20 to 30 days, she said. The interior is finished and all the equipment is in place. Once the parking lot is paved, the restaurant will be ready to open, Waller said.

Bad name - if it says "pizza," they should have pizza! U.S. Salad Express would be just fine, and not cause confused customers to ask for the "pizza" menu.
But maybe someone could answer this...do they put crack in that house dressing??? Because I could drink about 5 cups of that a day. Well, I could for one day before I keel over from a massive coronary.

Good point, Mordy... it's not unreasonable to expect pizza when the name of the place has "pizza" in it. Nevertheless, I wish them the best.
While Judy expands her reach, she might want to check out the Levy outpost of her"empire." The food is consistently poor and the service is worse. I've been eating US Pizza for over 25 years and that's the only place I've vowed to avoid.
Opening the new Hillcrest location in a month or less? Good news, but I'm not holding my breath. They built the Golden Gate Bridge in less time than that place has taken.
