A rave for Rolando's

A reader mentioned Rolando's in Kat Robinson's earlier tribute to McClard's BBQ. She's been and loves the "South American treasure" on Central Avenue in Hot Springs. Pictured are Rolando's goat cheese quesadillas.

Yep...mentioned Rolondo's a few times and it's always been good. The Bloody Marys are particularly good! The patio is really nice but seems to be hit or miss as to when it's open. There is a small stage on the patio and I've seen a band or rather singer/songwriter type there in the past. One note: the servers have to haul the food up the stairs to the patio...so keep that in mind and try not to run the servers too much. I'm sure they would appreciate it. The tilapia is great but also try the Plato de Adventura which is basically a combo plate for a good sampling.get the pork! Also.for those on a budget.they are open for lunch and the lunch menu is basically the same as the dinner menu with reduced prices.

Should have mentioned this first...
Kudos Kat....Nice article.

The original location is in Ft. Smith and is wonderful as well.

Easily my favorite restaurant in Fort Smith.

I'm definitely going to have to try Rolando's on my next trip to the Fort.

Anyone who complains about lack of good restaurants in LR should try growing up in the Applebees/OliveGarden/Chili'shell hole that is Fort Smith...and we were actually EXCITED about those places when they came in!

There are a few exceptions, but they seem to be few and far between (RIP Dora's Pies).

Agree on comments towards Rolando's in the old Faded Rose location with a surprise deck out back...way out back..yet worth it. Their cheese dip is booze flamed at your table and the guac is very good with meals tasty.
