Farmers Market Eat Arkansas.jpg

We would be remiss if we didn't note the opening of the Certified Arkansas Farmers Market Saturday morning at 6th and Main in North Little Rock.  This week's opening features: strawberries, greens, onions, eggs, meats, squash, radishes, cut flowers, plant starts, baked goods and fresh-brewed coffee. The market will be open 7 a.m. to noon and will meet every Tuesday and Saturday from now through the end of summer.  More information available at the CAFM website.

How about some pictures and a report from the Farmer's Market this weekend? They had an amazing selection of greens, and the strawberries we brought home are sinfully delicious.

The CAFM was divine, as expected. I got radicchio, chard, turnips, cheddar, eggs, a fig tree, some basil plants, a gorgeous whole wheat molasses baguette, and some strawberry muffins. Yum.

Also, it looks like the restaurant going in at the old Sufficient Grounds space in Hillcrest has a facebook page. It's called The House and the executive chef is listed as Nathan Miller. Anyone know more about this?
