Greek Food Eat Arkansas.jpg

The grand-daddy of all Arkansas food events kicks off Friday.  The Greek Food Festival at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in West Little Rock runs Friday - Sunday -- the only Arkansas festival I know of with its own drive-through.  My suggestion?  Get the heck out of your car and enjoy the three days of entertainment, music, shopping -- and of course FOOD.  Baklava, karithopita, kourambiethes, kelomacharona, sourota, souvlaki, spanikopita, tzatziki, falafel, tabbouleh... hungry yet?  I can't wait to get my hands on some tiropeta, myself.

It's the 25th anniversary for the festival, and it's grown quite a bit.  So large, in fact, that the organizers have worked together and set up two trolleys that pick up hungry patrons from different locations.  I find it a lot easier to park at Asbury United Methodist and ride in.  No worries, there are trolleys every 10 minutes.

I'd suggest you start preparing now -- especially if you're the sort that saves up your calories for this sort of thing.  Check out the website for more information.

I'm excited.

I'm not a fan of large crowds, but I always go to the Greek food fest and have since it began. YYYUUUMMM!
