A Very Short Entry On The Legislative Process

I went to the legislature again today.  I learned this -- in small Senate committee rooms, show up early and place a notebook or legal pad on your chair - then you can go out in the hall or anywhere without losing your seat . Otherwise, you will be standing in a very awkward position, such as uncomfortably close to those seated or right in front of the door.
