Movies in the Park will screen "Shrek 2" tonight at the Riverfest Amphitheater.  The movie is FREE and you are welcome to bring a picnic and a blanket and enjoy the show.  The film begins at sundown.  Free movies run every Wednesday night until August 1st (with the exeception of the 4th of July). 

UPDATE:  1200 people came out for the film tonight.  Up next: "Goldfinger" the James Bond classic starring Sean Connery.

Bruised and battered

On the evening of July 20, a concerned aunt drove her 26-month-old nephew to a Department of Human Services office in Little Rock to show caseworkers the bruises on his buttocks and back. The child had been spending the night at his aunt's when she changed his diaper and discovered the marks. /more/
