I saw "A Mighty Heart" this morning. Angelina Jolie gives a spectacular and devastating performance as Mariane Pearl, the wife of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. Michael Winterbottom directs a very fine film that almost ripped me in two. Jolie will receive an Oscar nomination. You can take that to the bank.

I saw it too this weekend. One review I read said the viewer couldn't separate Jolie from the character of Mariane Pearl. I disagree, I forgot I was watching Angelina Jolie and totally fell into the movie.
The pace was quick and kept me on the edge of my seat. The viewpoint was fairly balanced. The cast strong.
Agreed on Oscar nomination and think other nominations and awards will probably fall upon this movie.
In a different way but like the movie "Syriana", "A Mighty Heart", forces one to think about all sides of the issue of terrorism and that no side is completely right or completely wrong.
