BSR writes about all things film.

Damn!  Dark Horizons is reporting that Gavin Hood ("Tsotsi" the upcoming "Rendition") will direct the X-Men spinoff "Wolverine" starring Hugh Jackman in the lead role.  The script was written by David Benioff ("The 25th Hour").  Psyched?  I am.

Good news continues for Seth Rogen.  He's in final talks to take the lead in "The Green Hornet".
"Hornet" follows the adventures of Britt Reid, a bored playboy who inherits his father's crusading newspaper, the Daily Sentinel. By night he is a masked hero, fighting crime with his sidekick Kato, who has incredible martial-arts skills.

In a stroke of genius, Steven Soderberg has cast Catalina Sandino Moreno ("Maria Full of Grace") in his dual Che Guevara films "The Argentine" and "Guerilla."  The cast also includes Benicio del Toro as the revolutionary along with
Julia Ormond, Franka Potente, Jorge Perugorria, Jordi Molla, Oscar Jaenada, Eduard Fernandez and Ruben Ochandiano.  With a $70 million price tag, Soderberg better not turn out another "The Good German."  With Benicio leading the cast, I don't expect that to happen.  Both films are expected to be released next year.
