For all of the fans of Fernando Mierelles's exceptional film "City of God," which received  4 Oscar nominations for cinematography, direction, editing and adapted screenplay, you should be excited about a companion film (no, it's not a sequel) titled "City of Men."  "City of Men follows Acerola and Laranjinha, two inseparable childhood friends both approaching their 18th year who live in the notorious Rio slum Pool Hall Hill," reports IGN.  Furthermore, they note, "the new film, on show at the London Film Festival this week, replicates much of what made City of God so successful, whilst offering a fresh take on Brazil's crime-ridden neighbourhoods." Mierelles serves as producer on the second film, and it is directed by Paulo Morelli.
