WHY NOT?
I just returned from a one-day round trip to Atlanta, Georgia. I kid you not. I boarded a plane bound for Atlanta (and then on to Milwaukee) at 3:15. When I touched down in Atlanta I realized my purpose for being in Milwaukee no longer existed so I boarded a plane in Atlanta back to Little Rock. Yes, this was the absurdity of my day. So, in honor of that absurdity, I offer you these predictions for Thursday's Golden Globe nominations. I have no real idea what's going to happen. This group has been branded "starfuckers" by Kris Tapley over at incontention.com and Armchair Critic, a local prognosticator. I agree, which is why you'll see that I pick Brad Pitt to get a nomination for Best Actor. He's fine in "The Assassination of Jesse James . . . " but not best actor worthy. Still, because he's Brad Pitt he'll beat out someone far more deserving like Frank Langella.
