I am eagerly anticipating Charlie Kaufman's new film "Synedoche, New York."  Kaufman, who wrote "Being John Malcovich," "Adaptation" and the lovely "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" takes a seat in the director's chair this time, his first (he had hoped that his friend and collaborator Spike Jonze would direct).  The film opens in limited release tomorrow (sorry Arkies, it doesn't include us), but here's a review from Manohla Dargis of The New York Times to hold you over.  If the critical acclaim is anything close to this, expect it to skyrocket up the Oscar charts.
