The National Board of Review will announce the best films of the year later today. Yes, I view it with caution: there's no chance in hell that "The Bucket List" was one of the 100 best films of 2007, much less one of the 10 best as NBR opined.  Still . . . it kicks off the mainstream awards season, and last year's winner, "No Country for Old Men," rode all the way to Oscar gold.  So we'll see . . .

My guess: "Revolutionary Road." Why? I have no idea. I haven't seen it, but it seems like an NBR film. "The Dark Knight" or "Milk" would be inspired choices. So would "The Visitor" or "Rachel Getting Married."
