Precincts in the outlying areas of Hot Springs had their vote boxes brought back to the courthouse for counting and verification.
Coming over the bridge a deputy knew if the precinct was for the entrenched incumbent or his popular opponent. So it it was an area where the initial count showed a "new comer" was winning..bada bing.. the vote boxes were tossed off the bridge into a 100 ft deep water.
Drowned.
But digits are easier to disappear, if that is the route they take.

Oh yes, do get out your AstroCartography program. I plan to real soon. Those planetary lines revealed exactly where the areas of contention were in 2000 and in 2004. I don't think they have repealed the planetary laws of motion just yet.
Look for crossings of Mars/Neptune lines and where the Saturn-Uran opposition crosses. Do it for 7:30 Am and 7:30 PM, use Philly as the location.
