The oldest person I ever met was 104, named Sylvester, who lived on a sharecropper's plot in Mississippi with his two hounds.
Sylvestor was the oldest living survivor of the Civil War at that time, 1967.
Most of his time was spent in his rocking chair playing the harmonica and smoking a pack of Pall Malls each day. They were still unfiltered back then.
