The real "Jersey Boys" coming to UCA
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, whose music inspried the current Tony Award-winning broadway hit "Jersey Boys," will bring the original Four Seasons sound to the University of Central Arkansas during the 2006-2007 UCA Performances Schedule, school officials said today.
Valli the Four Seasons open the 2006-07 season on Friday, Sept. 29, at the 1,200-seat Reynolds Performance Hall. Season ticket renewals are already under way, and new buyers can purchase tickets beginning in mid-July. Single tickets for the eight-show UCA Performances schedule will be on sale Sept. 5.
Other shows include Ballet Folklorico de Mexico on Oct. 12-13, Irish tenor Ronan Tynan and his 10-piece band on Nov. 2, Boston a capella group Ball in the House Dec. 7-8, South Africa's Sowest Gospel Choir on Feb. 1-2, the piano playing siblings The Five Browns on Feb. 20, the Moscow Chamber Orchestra on March 8, and two performances by the Los Angeles-based dance company Diavolo in late April.
