The Mind of Matt: Movies and Metal (in Wisconsin)

MOVIES & METAL -- by Matt Smith

MOVIES:

Monday night in Little Rock we had the Usual Suspects out for a FREE screening at the Market Street Cinema. The Arkansas Times sent a new film critic!  That's right, a new opinion from the Times! That's just how they roll!

Also in  the house was Freaky Joe Franklin and Chuck Link from THE BUZZ 103.7 FM, BIG Joey from COOL 104.7 FM and, of course, KARN News Radio. Scott Neuman has never missed a FREE movie in his life! Dave Elswick -- Scott is the producer of Dave's show -- saw the film, too. There were some kids from the Little Rock Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization. We had sent over some tickets. Every one enjoyed "HEART OF THE GAME" It is a movie that is just fine for kids and should inspire them.  More info at www.marketstretcinema.net or www.heartofthegame-film.com  Now, all that scoop was passed on to me by Morgan. I wasn't there. I am still on that never-ending quest for the perfect concert!

METAL:

Meanwhile, back at the ranch ... no, really up here, in Green Bay! I thought it would be much cooler than this! Man, the heat wave is EVERY where!

We have just been kicking it around town while we wait for the SAMMY HAGAR show at the casino. There is no doubt , this is PACKER country! We have been to Brett Favre's steak house, and every bar -- or tavern as they are called here -- has some Green Bay Packers football tie in! Crazy! The streets are named after players and coaches. Not one or two -- ALL the streets!
Lambeau Field offers a nice tour. The pro shop ... food there is
good ... I mean it is fun, but the PACKER fans could spend DAYS hanging out at the place.  The Packers hall of fame was a true classic experience -- even for a casual football fan.

Gotta run!--Matt
