Extraordinary pianist in town

If you're up for some really good piano, young star Tao Lin will be in town to perform for the Chamber Music Society of Little Rock tonight. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church on Mississippi. Tickets are $20.

Lin, born in China and a prodigy at the age of 8, has won numerous awards as he grew into adulthood and studied all over the world. He is a member of the Berlin Chamber Quartet. The Chamber Music Society brings in bright, youthful chamber performers on a quarterly basis, all worth seeing, and Lin is no exception. The room at St. Mark's is acoustically nice, even if the chairs are rather basic. Check out one of these shows, if you haven't already.
