Big local show Wednesday starting Cooper's Orbit

Make plans now to check out a big Sticky Fingerz show on Wednesday, Dec. 27, with Cooper's Orbit, and Stephen Rock will be the opening act.

Cooper's Orbit is the group outlet for local guitar phenom Chris Henry, the 2006 runnerup in the Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase. Henry is a high-energy rock singer-songwriter with a finger-style ability that will blow you away. He's been compared to classic guitarists such as Leo Kottke and contemporary hit-makers such as John Mayer and Dave Matthews.

Opening up the show will be local singer-songwriter Stephen Rock and the show should start up around 9 p.m.

Hey Jim: Wouldn't it be fun to have a list of the worst clubs? I'd like to nominate Grumpy's, except when Chris Henry plays. However, word is out that the Grumpy's management has found a way to mess that up. I understand that Chris will never play there again. Something about having to sue to get paid. Go figure? That makes Grumpy's nickname "The Dump", fitting in all respects.

EDITOR: Sad to hear. Grumpy's is one of those places I've never understood. We've offered them free listings, all they had to do is call and say who was playing, and the management won't call back or call regularly. Seems like something simple to do. Chris Henry, and a couple of their waitstaff personnel, were about the best thing going for them. Too bad they've screwed that up.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!
