How 'bout them Hogs!

They were "so close," like never before under Houston Nutt. Four losses to teams than ranked No. 1, 3, 4 and 5 in the final "coaches" poll, the USA Today poll. The Hogs ranked No. 16. They swapped places with USA Today No. 15 BYU in the AP poll.

Ten wins, including wipeouts of Auburn and Tennessee. We see it as a pretty good season. Unfortunately, we know a lot of folks who are still carping today, what coach Houston Nutt "should have" done. Look at it this way: In nine years, this is THE BEST he has done in terms of final poll finish.

My biggest question is, will the ESPN and other network talking heads slobber of the SEC now after talking all season about how wonderful Ohio State, Michigan (and Notre Dame) were?

The bowls and the polls sure make the Hog's season look good. Maybe all the cry babys will get a grip. Hats Off !! to the coaches and the team.
