Kenny Chesney's show set for Alltel May 19

Sorry, Kenny and all you Kenny fans, but to me the biggest news in the official announcement that KChes is coming to Alltel Arena May 19 is that Pat Green and Sugarland are opening. I hope they both get a substantial amount of stage time before country's Jimmy Buffett wannabe takes over.

Showtime will be 7:30 p.m. Yes, it's a Saturday night. Notice that we get a lot of Friday and Saturday shows at Alltel. Kudos to the Alltel staff, again!

Kenny's getting top country dollar now, with ticket prices at $68.25 and $58.25, but Pat Green and Sugarland make that worth it, and then some, in my book. And I don't think it's just me. I like me some Sugarland, and Pat Green kicks ass. There you go. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, March 31, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com, 975-7575, Celebrity Attractioons office) and the arena box office. There is a 10-ticket limit, the first hour of on sale.
