Join me at LiveStock tonight at Juanita's

Four outstanding area music acts will perform at the 10th LiveStock, a benefit for Heifer International, set for 8 p.m. at Juanita's. If you're not going to the ball game tonight (and at least 592,000 of you in the Metropolitan Statistical Area won't be able to get in to the sold out Dickey-Stephens Park), consider this fun show and the $10 per person that will go toward supplies in Heifer's program to send cows to families in need around the globe.

Latture and Damn Bullets, both among my favored local bands to see these days, will perform along with Jonesboro's Further Down, who I'm looking forward to seeing since it's been a couple of years, and newcomer Josef Hedinger, little brother of Starkz' Isaac Hedinger, who has a very cool R&B/pop sound going. Hedinger will open the show, Damn Bullets follows, then Latture and Further Down wraps it up. Each act will get 30-40 minutes, and in the Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase tradition, I'll get to emcee.

C'mon down.
