"Towncraft" premieres tonight.

Finally: “Towncraft”  premieres tonight at Riverdale 10. Director Richard Matson said only a dozen tickets remain and suggested showing up to the box office early – around 6:30 p.m. – if you want to snag a seat. Tickets are $20, or if you’ve previously purchased an all-access “Towncraft” button, don’t forget to wear it. Movie starts at 7 p.m. sharp. He also mentioned that tonight’s screening is not part of the Little Rock Film Festival. Tomorrow night, film fest go-ers can get into the 6:15 p.m. showing of “Towncraft” with their all-access passes. A Q& A with Matson follows.

To get you pumped, check out the trailer (again).

Power-pop rockers Ashtray Babyhead (pictured above, back in the day) play the after-party at Vino's.

What a fantastic crowd at Riverdale 10, and not just for the "Towncraft" movie but for the entire festival. The lobby was packed as we were leaving the "Towncraft" showing with people coming in for other films. Same way late in the afternoon.
It seems to be a rousing success. Salute to the Renaud brothers and all the others for pulling this together.
"Towncraft" was a lot of fun, and for those of us who weren't living in the Rock during the time of the big underground punk movement, it was very educational. Well done, Richard Matson. This ought to be screened at the HS Doc Film Festival in October.
